Per the contract, anyone who started as a new hire(no previous employment with NDOC/transfer to NDOC) after July 1st, 2023, you are entitled to a recruitment bonus that previously has not been paid. The good news is that we have confirmation that the state has developed a code to begin paying these bonuses. We have forwarded all of the names for those we believe were hired after July 1st who joined FOP as part of the academy special. If you are eligible for this bonus, and you do not receive it by the end of December, be sure to submit your information to NDOC payroll/Forensics payroll. They will be keying the bonuses for new hires.
