FMWCC visit and tour

A couple weeks ago, FOP toured and handed out gatorade, water, and chips at FMWCC. We also toured the facility and had a lot of excellent conversations. The staff committment to professionalism and courtesy were very welcoming. The overall feel was that the offieers and supervisors are frustrated by inconsistency, as well as safety issues that are not regularly addressed. The overwhelming feedback was positive and supportive of FOPs efforts. Similar to other facilities, we were asked about other means to lower costs of benefits, as opposed to increased pay or compensation. I am confident that we are in alignment with the goals of staff and supervisors alike. We look forward to pursuing better working conditions and improved safety and security.
