let em hear ya!!!

This is the last chance we have to get some real movement on AB 596. This is the bill that would fund our CBA for Officers and possibly Supervisors. There is another bill for supervisors, but it is very uncertain how that one is going to unfold. Sometime between now and tonight, the Senate committee on finance is going to meet and discuss AB 596. They need to hear our voices literally. Below is the informatin on the meeting, including the phone number to call in and the meeting number. I dont know when the meeting will start or when the bill will be called. This is a long boring process. I spoke with a senator and this is our last best chance to get their attention. So clear your schedule and join us in fighting for the CBA you all deserve. If you can go in person to either location or call in telephonically, we need to oppose this bill being passed with amendment 906. They need to hear how much overtime will be accrued once our officers and supervisors start leaving to work elsewhere. The dangers that short staffing causes and the state not honoring their word.
