Apparently, some officers were sent home for being exposed to COVID and told they had to use their sick leave. My advice to these officers is to submit a workers comp claim and file a grievance immediately! This is absurd and they should not be on the hook for the leave benefit that they have accrued. Lay the foundation for a lawsuit if the NDOC does not do the right thing.
