Payroll issues

I have sent some of the extreme examples of our members who have faced drastic payroll mistakes on the upcoming checks. There are so many accounts of different payroll mistakes that are being made. I am going to list all of the issues I am aware of. Everyone needs to check their paychecks going back to July 1, 2025.

-overtime paid at the employer rate of pay times 1.5.

-ESP staff being paid at an overtime rate that does not include PSAC.

-Insurance premiums being correct.

-Overtime being calculated with the correct amount after raises.

-PERS contributions and credits in the correct amount.

-missing retention pmt.

-missing back pay from prior mistake.

There are quite a few items here, but not everyone is reporting discrepancies. This is why it is necessary for each of you to calculate exactly what you are owed to be included in your remedy for your grievance. Also, do not file a grievance until after the upcoming paychecks hit your accounts. You need to ensure actual damages before you file a grievance. There exists a possibility that the state could correct your checks. So do your homework on any amount you are owed. If you need someone to help you, please reach out to your fellow brothers and sisters who are good at math. Write up the grievance and the calculation of what you are owed and if you are in fact underpaid Friday, then you will be ready to file a grievance if you are harmed by the state‘s mistakes.
