We have a couple of issues that the LRU has been discussing with us for correction. First is OTPSD. If you work a qualifying shift(swing, graves, or nights) and then work overtime you are entitled to OTPSD. There are no exceptions. PSDOT is not the correct code for shift differential overtime. If this has happened to you, please draft an explanation including your location and why you were denied the correct coding for shift differential overtime. To be clear, this does not apply to those who work a non qualifying shift(day shift). If you are impacted by this scenario please email: praterfop21@yahoo.com.


2nd issue we are working on with LRU is COT’s who were given the recruitment bonus and then told that they weren’t eligible to receive it, so now the state is going to take it back from you by withholding money from your paycheck. FOP ‘s position is that they are not allowed to take money back that they gave voluntarily. Absent suing each individual employee and winning a judgement, they have no legal right to take this back. If you are not eligible for the recruitment bonus, based on negotiations, you may cease to get any future bonuses. However, if they ask you to sign anything agreeing to pay back the money, do not sign it. We will be pursuing this as a union grievance and attempting to prevent them from taking any money from you. Lastly, we discussed several grievances today of all varieties. We will be scheduling resolution conferences or discussions to include the employee. Our goal is to resolve these grievances as soon as possible and in order of oldest to newest. We should be able to figure out a solution to most of these older ones at these meetings. The LRU has expressed their interest in resolving these grievances with us as soon as possible. There is no need to email about your grievance as we already have a comprehensive list of grievances.
