I have received some encouraging news about backpay being caught up. Two of our brothers, Kibbe and Timis have received all or most of the backpay owed for their individuals cases. Both were over multiple years old claims. I am also told that a civilian staff has also received their backpay. I know there are many who are still waiting, but based on these cases and statements from DD Shea, the state has paid back 250 of the 750 stale claims, I believe this shows signs of progress. I do not have a timeline, but I am hopeful that all stale claims will be brought current in the next month or so.
We’re just waiting on clarification on coding for the timesheets. Shift differential pay, assignment pay, what hours are considered swing shift, if you get shift differential only hour certain hours or the whole shift if your hours are divided into swing shift.
I’m personally refraining from submitting my time sheet this week until I get confirmation on the coding so I don’t have to wait 7+ months for HR to handle my payroll memorandum. Although HR has historically seemed to work faster if you are overpaid and they want to take money back the next payday, so I may just add what I think is supposed to be there and let them figure it out. I hear there is supposedly…
What is the backpay for?
That is good news
