We received the Arbitration Award for the FMWCC Shift Bid Grievance. This grievance was based on the Admin at FMWCC adding female only posts on top of the 15% exempt posts to the shift bid. Their contention is that this did not count as exempt. Clearly the arbitrator saw straight through this ridiculous argument and rightly awarded FOP the grievance. Next will be to finalize the remedy of redoing the shift bid at FMWCC. If you are a male officer and were denied a shift differential qualifying shift as a result of these additional excluded posts and you can prove it, you may be entitled to a remedy of back pay. If this happened to you reach out to Sister Blount and provide her with the documentation proving you were denied a qualifying shift.
