I know that there are countless acts of bravery in the NDOC, let's get one of our own recognized at the National Medal of Honor ceremony. Please read the following and submit stories of your coworkers.


All of us know at least one person who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in corrections. This link National Medal of Honor (google.com) will bring you directly to the Nomination Form and Eligibility requirements for this year’s One Voice United National Medal of Honor Awards recognizing excellence in corrections. Nominations can be filled out and submitted on-line or downloaded and sent via US Mail. This year’s awards not only honor individual incidents exemplifying bravery and courage but also excellence in overall performance and accomplishment in 2023. (See the Eligibility requirements for more information) These Awards are open to all staff. The Awards Banquet and Elevating Our Profession conference is being held in Chicago, Illinois April 24-26, 2024.
