Sample Grievance for Annual/Sick/Comp Accruals

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Below is a grievance that President Lunkwitz and I (Thompson) put together to address the sick and annual accrual issue that has been ongoing for many months. If you have been affected by this issue and have been shorted your sick, annual or comp time please file a grievance in neats. We cannot tell you who to grieve from payroll but I can tell you I am grieving Hope Chowanski| NDOC HR Payroll Manager| PA1

On (enter the last date your sick and annual accruals were incorrect here), at approximately(enter time here) I, Corrections Officer (your name here), reviewed my timesheet in Neats and noted that my sick and annual (add comp time if applicable) accruals were incorrect. This is the(enter the number of paychecks it has been incorrect here) time my sick and annual accruals have been incorrect and they are always short. While sick and annual accruals are not cash they are a part of the pay package and are an essential part of both my benefits package and my long term mental health. If the sick and annual accruals are incorrect then I may be unable to use said leave to cover actual sick and/or annual time planned or needed
